According to some residents who spoke with this media last evening, the increasing rate of deadly armed robbers terrorizing residents in the community seemed not to worry the police.

They said the most suspicious part of the ugly development is the fact that whatever distressed residents do to get the police to come during the robbery and trap the thieves, the police will only arrive at the scene minutes after the thieves would have done the havoc and left.

“It’s as if the police are conniving with the thieves to rob people’s homes. You will only see them at your house after the thieves have left and they will never arrest anyone as suspect.” Sallay Sesay told AYV; while calling on the New Direction government to come to their rescue in the community.

She ended by calling on government to institute MAC-P (the military) to help clean the community off thieves.

Police at the Adonkia Police Station denied the allegation that they are conniving with thieves to terrorize residents. “Our duty is to protect lives and properties and not destroy them,” the police said.
