The Organisers of Housemates Salone, the leading reality television show in Sierra Leone, AYV and Africell have held an Orientation Dinner for the Top 42 qualifiers for Housemates Salone Season 4.
The orientation, held at the prestigious Bamoi Hotel in Freetown, one of the latest sponsors for Season 4, was basically to bring the qualifiers up to speed on the rules and regulations of the Clean Game Season and further get them to know what is expected of those who will be making it into Chief’s House after the final votes on October 26, 2025.


Addressing the Qualifiers, Executive Producer of Housemates Salone, and CEO of AYV, Ambassador Anthony Navo Jr.,said Sierra Leone is proud to be featured on MultiChoice’sDSTV platform, adding that they have worked tirelessly to achieve this milestone.
He admonished the qualifiers who will be making it into the House to put up their best, and have it in mind that while in the House, millions of people are watching them as they represent the Housemates Salone brand in particular and Sierra Leone in general.
Ambassador Navo Jr. said, “We expect all participants to uphold the highest standards. Your actions reflect not only on yourselves, but also on our country. Let us showcase the best of Sierra Leone to the world”.
Speaking on the level of confidence and professional experience they as Executive Producers have to run the Show, Navo said, “I have dedicated 24 years to serving Sierra Leone, and I have never let pressure dictate my actions. So, do not think you can intimidate me or any show official. Your fate lies in the hands of the voters – only their votes will secure your spot in the house. The show is all about Clean Game. Any abusive language or physical altercation will result in immediate disqualification. Respect the platform and yourselves”.
He thanked all the partners that have come together to give the people of Sierra Leone the very best of reality television show, stating, “this show is a collaborative effort between AYV and Africell, with strong support from our reliable partners, driven by our social responsibility to promote Sierra Leone’s entertainment industry globally. We are showcasing Sierra Leone like never before, creating a lasting impression that will become a trademark for our nation. Welcome to the fourth season of Housemates Salone! This season promises to be bigger, better, and more entertaining than ever. As representatives of the show, it is your duty to engage and entertain our audience. Give it your all and good luck”.
Mr Shadi Garjawi, Co-Executive Producer of Housemates Salone, and Managing Director of Africell, said Housemates Salone is a business and encouraged all those who will be making it into the House to maintain a positive public image.
Shadi said, “Everything you do in that house will impact your reputation forever. You might forget, but the media will not. So, bring your best self and entertain us”.
Josh Akinola, Entertainment Expert, speaking at the orientation dinner, reminded the participants that Housemates Salone can be a business opportunity for them if they leverage it, stating, “Showcase your value proposition to corporate brands. Sell your entrepreneurial spirit, creativity, and entertainment skills – it is all about packaging your personal brand”.
Similar sentiments came from Professor Ezekiel Kalvin Duramany-Lakkoh, Deputy Chief Judge of Housemates Salone Season 4 Auditions. He said, “Do not just focus on winning the show for fame, but build your management team and personal brand to capitalise on the opportunity. Remember, Housemates Salone can only crown one winner, but the real prize is the exposure and career momentum you can create for yourself”.
Sho Cole, Executive Producer for Cribs International, appreciated the efforts of those who will be making it into the House. He stated, “We truly appreciate your interest in the show. Housemates Salone is an authentic competition, and selection is based entirely on public voting. This journey is about embracing who you are and sharing your genuine self with the world.”
Similarly, one of the leading Judges of Housemates Salone Season 4 Auditions, Yeniva Sisay, said, “This is serious business. Once you’re awarded a contract and sign it, there is no turning back. Breaching a contract can lead to legal action. So, assemble your team and get ready, because we are prepared to move forward”. Her statement was buttressed by another Audition Judge, Ibrahim Bangura and other distinguished personalities who were present at the orientation dinner.
Housemates Salone Season 4 will feature a new group of young Sierra Leoneans living together under one roof as they compete in weekly challenges for One Billion Old Leones and a round trip to Dubai, plus a chance to become the next national celebrity.
This is the biggest prize in the history of Sierra Leonean reality television shows. It is more than just the windfall money could bring, an opportunity, an open door for the winner to dream big, to invest in their future and to be an inspiration to untold others at home and beyond.
Outside of personal gains, Housemates Salone is now a platform for cultural diplomacy. Because it is shown live on AYV and on DStv across the continent, the show provides Sierra Leone with a rare opportunity to display its rich traditions, music, fashion, and cuisine to a global audience.
The show is set to start this weekend on October 26.
