In her confessional statements to the police, following the brutal murder of the deceased at his 65 Old Railway line residence, at Wilberforce in Freetown, on Monday 12 November 2012, the first accused stated that when her late husband, Fredrick Johnson was sick, the deceased never render any assistance to them.

She confessed that the deceased relatives knew that her late husband was HIV/AIDS  positive, but that none of them divulged the secret to her, until when her late husband was admitted at the 34 Military hospital at Wilberforce in the west end of Freetown.

‘When my late husband was admitted at the 34 Military’ Hospitals, she continued he was tested for HIV/AIDS, and after undergoing the test the deceased medical findings showed that he was HIV positive.

The accused told the investigation police officers that she was also tested for the same virus, at the 34 Military Hospital, and after the test, the doctor’s medical report indicated that she was HIV/AID positive, adding that those were some of the reasons that instigated her to planned the brutal murder of her late husband’s younger brother, Adeyemi Patrick Johnson.

According to her, she only planned the murdering of the deceased with the third accused person, Edward Joseph Moijue alias Unomsil, and that the third accused used to visit and assist her with some domestic work.

She confessed further that she started the planning of the killing of her late husband’s younger brother, no sooner the doctor at the 34 military hospital, informed her that she was HIV/AIDS positive, and that besides she and the third accused planned the killing of the deceased, at the back yard of his  65 Old Railway Line residence at Wilberforce in Freetown, where she happened to reside with the deceased.

The alleged murderer also divulged that a day before Adeyemi Patrick Johnson was murdered; she instructed the second accused-Oma Majid Eustace Cole who is her son to take her Pathfinder jeep to a nearby garage for maintenance, as she did not want her son to detect their plan with the third accused person.

She went on to inform police that after planning the deceased death, she went to visit her friend at Juba Hill in the west of Freetown capital, and on the following night, Monday 12 November 2012, the third accused person, Edward Joseph Moijue alias Umonsil hired the services of the other accused persons who conspired together and murdered the deceased.

Accused Alakeh Olive Johnson narrated that since her bank was in the red, she told the third accused, Edward Joseph Moijue, to informed his alleged co- conspirators, that if they succeeded in killing Adeyemi Johnson, they should loot his Toyota car with registration number, AGW 112, and sell it a certain Aiah Senesie for sum of nine million leones, and that she had known Aiah Senesie for a long period, through her late husband, Fredrick Johnson.

The first accused further intimated the police that when her husband died, his family members shunned her and they even referred to her at the Wilberforce community, as HIV/AIDS carrier, stating that just after her husband’s death, his family members served her a notice to quit the said residence, where the alleged murder occurred, at N0 65 Old Railway Line, Wilberforce in Freetown capital.

‘’I also took photographs of the deceased remains in his bedroom, but that the investigating police officer had taken it away from me, and my son knew nothing about our machination to deprived the deceased of his precious life,” Alakeh stated.

She further narrated that her son, Oma Majid Eustace Cole never knew about her plan together with the third accused person to murder the deceased, and added that the former financier of the Peoples Movement for Democratic Change (PMDC), Femi Hebron was the only family friend to the Johnson family that would visit and provide financial assistance towards her late husband ailment, but that the deceased , Adeyemi Patrick Johnson was very instrumental in ensuring that her late husband did not get his leave allowance at his Kenyan airline office in Freetown to take care of his ailment.

At the concluding stage of proceedings, the prosecuting Counsel, Francis Ben Kaifala requested for an adjournment, and his request was granted by the presiding judge, Justice Sam Margai of the High Court of Sierra Leone.

Alakeh Olive Johnson’s statements were recapitulated in court by detective police sergeant, John Sahr Nanoh who is attached to the homicide department of the Criminal Investigations Department headquarters, on Pademab road in Freetown.

The eight accused persons were, Alakeh Olive Johnson, Oma Majid Eustace Cole, Edward Joseph Moijue alias Unomsil, John Turay alias leather, Abdul Rashid Jalloh alias skull, Tommy Joseph, Alie Conteh alias scholar and Chernor Bah alias cherry.

The eight accused persons were represented by lawyer Francis B Conteh, and Justice Sam Margai adjourned the matter to Tuesday 20 June 2017.
