The Institutes of Advance Management and Technology (IAMTECH) over the weekend received a prestigious award from the country’s National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) for effectively complying with the Trust’s Act No.5 of 2001 in the 2019 financial year.

Presenting the Award to IAMTECH, NASSIT’s Director of Public Affairs and Customer Service, Osman F. Kamara commended the Institution’s management, staff and students for ensuring compliance with the Act, which according to him, has won them such a prestigious Award.

This, he said, shows that the Institute is among the top compliant institutions countrywide, while further commending the Administration for their commitment in meeting its staff’s NASSIT obligations and urged them to continue as it will help motivate the employee workforce.

Kamara on behalf of his bosses at NASSIT presented the Award to the Institute officially.

Receiving the Award on behalf of IAMTECH, Head of Communication, Abdul Karim Kamara expressed humility for receiving the Award on behalf of his bosses. He said: “To us as an Institution, we see this Award as one won out of merit. We are grateful to God for everything we have gone through as an Institution and we are working towards receiving more of such recognition awards.

Abdul added that his Administration will dedicate the Award to God, the Proprietor Prof. Dr. Paul Kamara and wife Dr. Mrs. Abie Paula Kamara, the Chief Executive Officer Prof. Roseline E. Uyanga and the entire management and staff of IAMTECH, including the students both current and past.

He maintained further that it does not come as a surprise to have been awarded by no less an Institution but NASSIT because they have been meeting promptly, their employees’ NASSIT obligations monthly. This, Abdul went on, has given the Institution an edge over other institutions in the same category. He said as an institution, they have been with NASSIT since its inception and they are going to ensure that they meet all tax obligations set forth by government, as according to him, IAMTECH always puts country first.

He used the forum as an opportunity to advice other institutions to always honor their NASSIT obligations noting that by doing so, they will be helping in the preparation of a better feature for their employees and by extension, contributing to the country basket fund.
