Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) Brand Ambassador, Suad Baydoun, has expressed her determination to strengthen the connection between thecountry’s oldest commercial bank and the younger generation.
Speaking exclusively to AYV, Ambassador Suad said her role goes beyond being the public face of the institution, stressing that she wants to help young people better understand the bank’s modern identity, products and services.
“I am now the face of Sierra Leone Commercial Bank, but I don’t just want to be the face. I want to connect the bank to the younger generation,” she said.
According to Suad, SLCB has evolved significantly over the years and should no longer be viewed solely through the lens of its long-standing history.
“I want to show them that the SLCB of before is not the SLCB of now. It has evolved,” she added.
She said her ambition as Brand Ambassador is to help bridge the gap between SLCB’s established legacy and the expectations and aspirations of today’s young Sierra Leoneans.
SLCB, which prides itself on being Sierra Leone’s oldest commercial bank, has maintained a longstanding presence in the country’s financial sector and continues to position itself as a trusted institution for banking and financial transactions.
Suad’s appointment is therefore expected to support the bank’s efforts to engage a younger and increasingly digitally oriented generation, while showcasing the institution’s evolving approach to modern banking.
Her message reflects a broader vision of connecting SLCB’s trusted legacy with the future of banking in Sierra Leone.
