Shollay Davies applied for State land and it was this same plot of land that was issued to him and he has already developed the land; something which the former holder of the land failed to do in the period provided by law.

However, quite recently, one Mariama Bah who is claiming to be the legitimate wife of the late Pa Gbekie started laying claim to the land.

But because Barbah Fortune who was formerly at the Ministry of Lands as Permanent Secretary and knows much about the land in question, he swiftly reacted to the false allegations doing the rounds about the ACC second-in-charge laying claim to land that does not belong to him.

In an interview he told AYV that all he knows about the initial lessor of the land in question is that she failed to develop the land within the period as provided by law and as a result lost if to another applicant (in this case Shollay Davies) who has now developed the land in question.

Meanwhile, Mariama Bah and some others residing in the Diaspora have mounted a campaign of calumny against Shollay Davies, claiming he illegally acquired the land in question.

However, Mr. Davies is appealing to all well-meaning and patriotic Sierra Leoneans not to listen to the lies about him as he went through the process legally and has all the necessary documents to prove that he acquired the said land legally and within the ambits of the law.
