Presenting the bags of cement president, Illuminating Ladies Rebecca Cooper said the organization was established to support less privilege in the society and that the support provided for the school is within the mandate of the organization.  Cooper stated that her organization usually empower children and will continue to do so.

“We form this organization to empower the younger generation in our society, as we always providing moral support in any form that we can. We are charitable organization that has been in existence since 2013, and we have been funding the entire donation all by ourselves.”  Rebecca Cooper added.

She further assured the school authorities and pupils that their organization would support the reconstruction of the school, in their usual minimal support.

Receiving the donation proprietor of the Maranatha Primary School, Pastor Theophilus Jumu applauded the organization for what he regarded as a timely intervention, as he promised to utilize the cement for the purpose for which it was provided for. He furthered that the organization has been the only association to come to their aid ever since the rain washed down their school.

Treasurer of the organization, Peterlyn Cummings called on other organizations to come onboard and ensure that the affected children are provided with class rooms, as their school was destroyed during the heavy storm on 10th may this year, adding that the construction of the school happened to be an urgent call.

She maintained that Illuminating Ladies would continue to monitor the progress as well as continue to support the reconstruction of the school building as she pointed out that education is considered the key to success.

“Better classrooms will facilitate a conducive learning environment, a situation that will empower the nation’s future leaders .” Cummings mentioned.
