The Israel United in Christ (IUIC) has called on Sierra Leoneans to embrace unity, self-respect, and love for one another as a pathway to national and spiritual transformation.
Speaking to journalists at its 35 Charles Street Church in Freetown, the Head of IUIC in Sierra Leone, Captain Yahn Israel, said the organisation is a Bible-based body committed to what it describes as the spiritual awakening and unification of communities it refers to as the “lost sheep of the House of Israel.”
He explained that IUIC’s teachings focus on biblical study, cultural identity, and community engagement, aimed at helping members reconnect with what the group considers their historical and spiritual heritage.
According to him, the organisation’s mission includes educating and empowering members through scripture-based teachings that emphasize unity, discipline, and moral values. He added that IUIC seeks to provide a spiritual environment that fosters understanding, belonging, and personal development.
Captain Israel stressed that one of the core messages of the organisation is the need for people to stop hatred among themselves and instead build stronger bonds within their communities. He noted that such unity is essential for both spiritual growth and social stability.
He further stated that IUIC remains committed to what it describes as the restoration of identity and purpose through adherence to biblical principles, adding that the organisation aims to promote positive change in the lives of its members.
The group also reiterated its broader vision of building a global community of believers guided by faith, discipline, and shared values, with the goal of strengthening cultural awareness and spiritual identity.
