John Bonoh Sisay has sent another warning shot to others contesting for the APC presidential candidacy ticket when he told thousands of Sierra Leoneans who came out to welcome him in his just concluded Northern delegates’ consultative meetings that the Presidency of Sierra Leone cannot be left in the hands of those who cannot live up to the expectations of the masses.
“The presidency is very a serious business…. you will be dealing with the lives of millions of people and this means you will be assessed and graded from different angles…if you are not a serious person, the entire nation will suffer”.

He made this statement couple of days after he had also asked his opponents that are currently occupying public offices to step aside and resign, in order for them to be eligible in the race for the APC presidential candidacy ticket.

His message apparently resonated with the popular Temne question adage, “Kom Po Yor-a? meaning (What have u done or accomplished?).
In retrospect, John Sisay believed some of those posing as candidates for the APC cannot sustain the legacies of President Koroma. They know the presidency is for people with proven track records.
“APC is not a greedy party and all should share…we should not support people because of their good looks but for what they are capable of doing” he asserted.

In one particular instance, John Sisay spoke of his readiness to ensure the All People’s Congress remain in power and to this end, he called on Sierra Leoneans to embrace change by wholeheartedly supporting the APC party which he described as the only serious party in Sierra Leone.
“I wish to see that President Ernest Bai Koroma continues his good works because I am developmental oriented and the facts are there to see…”
The next leg of his consultative tour will be in the South and Eastern regions of Sierra Leone, where plans are afoot to accord him another rousing welcome.
