According to a Spokesman for Karadeniz Powership Kaya Bey Company’s local representative in Sierra Leone told newsmen that its removal from Sierra Leone will not create any vacuum in the electricity supply arrangement for the Western Area.
Already, a second Powership, the Goktay Bey is operational and has the required capacity to support the national grid.
He said: “We want to assure the general public of continuous and adequate power supply as the second Powership is fully operational and has the required capacity”.
A replacement Powership is expected to arrive in Sierra Leone before the start of the Dry Season in November this year.
The Karadeniz Powership Goktay Bey which has been operational since March 2019 will continue to supply uninterrupted electricity to the people of Sierra Leone. There is nothing to worry about the status of uninterrupted electricity supply in the Western Area.
