Koinadugu and Falaba districts have received eight trucks of Free Health Care Drugs from National Medical Store as support from the Government of Sierra Leone’s initiative of Free Health Care Policy.

The supply will target the following categories of people, pregnant women, under five, lactating mothers, Ebola survivors and the physically challenge nationwide.

Welcoming and thanking staff from National Medical Supplies Agency Sierra Leone, Koinadugu and Falaba Districts Health Management Teams and Kabala Government Hospital Medical Store Team.

The District Medical Officer Dr. Steven  Fonnie said he and his team are very grateful with the government of Sierra Leone and Health Partners in promoting the Free Health Care Policy in Sierra Leone.

He said this is the first quarter consignment of drugs for both districts while encouraging all health workers to professionally handle and freely administer all drugs and any other commodities attached to the Free Health Care facilities.

Handing over the consignment of drugs to the District Medical Store Teams in Koinadugu and Falaba districts the Human Resource and Program Manager for NMSA, Robert Dixon said a total of eight trucks of Free Health Care Drugs have been assigned to Koinadugu and Falaba districts.

He said Kabala Government Hospital Medical Store will receive one truck while Koinadugu district receives three trucks and Falaba district four trucks.

He encouraged all stakeholders to endure they help in monitoring and supervising the drugs for its intended purpose.
