According to the Paramount Chief, the riot came as a result of the refusal of police to agree to demands made by angry youths to conduct peaceful demonstrations over the removal of the youth village project that was promised to their district.
PC Gbawuru said the youths complained that police refused to give them clearance to stage a peaceful protest to express their dissatisfaction to the government.
He furthered “because of the denial, the youths took to the street to protest (and) that resulted into violence between them and the police that resulted to loss of lives and properties.”
He explained that two corpse and an injured youth were conveyed to his house by the youths demanding answers and protesting that they have been shot by the police.
 “yesterday morning I went to pick up my kids from school but was unable to return home because of blockades by the youths. I had to seek refuge in a guest house and wait for the situation to calm down,” PC Gary said.
He further confirmed that 20 youth’s have been arrested
and he has not been able to engage the youths because most of their leaders are been arrested.
According to our reporter  the chairman Mohamad Barrie and secretary Alhaji wurie jalloh are among the 20 people they arrested  yesterday  the Pc further  rexplained that the situation is still hot as the Local Unit Commander of police have arrested most of the youth’s in the township.
He added that the presence of police within the township was tense to the extent that the police has declared a 24 hours curfew.
 
All Efforts to get the side of the Police in Kabala was unsuccessful.
 Meanwhile one of suspect   youth has been reported  escape overnight in the hands of the police, who was identified as the Secretary of the youth’s of kabala and which we also get a real source that he is a gay, Name  Alhaji wurie jalloh born on 15 May 1998 father’s name  Thalibeh jalloh and mother late Isata jalloh, he is fear in completion.
According to reliable source within the police the LUC Almamy
Bangura has declared Alhaji Wurie Jalloh missing and urged the general public to report or arrest him anywhere he is spotted in the country. Because he is a gay and also suspect that was missing in the hands of the police.
