The late Christopher Onesimus Marke-Johnson commonly known as Christ Johnson who died at age 79 years will be laid to rest on 5th March, 2021 at the Waterloo Village Cemetery.

Mass will be held on Thursday 4th March, 2021 at 6pm at the Mary Immaculate Conception Church, Hartshorn Street, Waterloo. This will be followed with a civic ceremony on Friday 5th March at 10:30am to 12noon at the Western Area Rural District Council (WARDC) and funeral and requiem mass on 5th March at 1pm, at Mary Immaculate Conception Church.

There will be a laying out at his former residence, 29a Main Motor Road, Campbell Town, Waterloo from 9am to 10:30am.

Bus service to Waterloo on the day of the funeral is available. Take off time is 10am at the Annie Walsh School Junction, Eastern Police at a return fare of Le20,000.00.

All Covid–19 preventive measures will be strictly followed.

The late CHRISTO JOHNSON was a veteran journalist and a founding member of the Sierra Leone Association of Journalist (SLAJ) and founder Veteran Journalist Union (VEJU).

He is survived by children: Mr Fredrick Marke-Johnson, Christopher Marke-Johnson & Sedetay Marke-Johnson…

Adopted children include Kabba Mohamed Jalloh, Usman Conteh, Stella Scott and Ramata Turqy.

Sisters include Matilda O Johnson, Georgian Sedetay Pitt, and Helen Parslow all in the UK. Cousins Mrs. Millicent Fumie Cole. Madam Enid and Cecilia Thorpe, Mrs. Patricia Oseh Renner (UK).
