The Squirrels of Benin capitalized on Leone Stars’ error through a break in the 28th minute when Benin forward Jodel Doussou in a counter-attack played a superb volley to give them the lead.

The clash between both sides was played at the Charles Gaulle Stadium where thousands of spectators were in attendance to support their home side.

Leone Stars’ next fixture is an away against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in March 2020.
