The Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyer, engaged with the outgoing South Korean Ambassador H.E. Kim Young Chae during his final official visit to Freetown.

Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyer maintained that, there discussion reflected on the highlights of their positive collaboration over the past years including the host to a cultural activities which commemorated the 60 years of diplomatic ties between the two countries in November 2022.

Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyer expressed gratitude receiving the Ambassador and wished him well as roles out his engagement in Sierra Leone.

“Today I received the outgoing South Korean Ambassador H.E. Kim Young Chae on his final official visit to Freetown. We reflected on highlights of our positive collaboration over the past years, including hosting the cultural activities commemorating 60 years of diplomatic ties between Sierra Leone and South Korea in November 2022 at the New City Hall.

“Opened in 2020, the New City Hall is itself a lasting legacy of those ties! We wish Ambassador Kim all the very best as he ends his term”.
