Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Alhaji Timothy Kabba will address members of the Lower Bambara Descendants Association (LoBDA come Sunday 2ndNovember 2025 at the residence of Ambassador Soulay B.Daramy in Freetown.

Sources indicate that some of the critical issues affecting the chiefdom, especially peace and reconciliation, provision of electricity, water supply and healthcare, quality education and the deplorable road network among others will be the topical issues on the agenda to be discussed.

The LoDBA public notice reiterates, “We are pleased to announce that the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Alhaji Timothy Musa Kabba has graciously sought to meet with all members of the Lower Bambara Descendants Association (LoBDA).”

The people commended Minister Timothy Kabba for his invaluable contributions to the development of the country citing the allocation of payments to mining communities nationwide while serving as Minister of Mines and Mineral Resources adding that this is the first time he has kindly consented to address members of the Association.

“In spite of all our differences, we will openly welcome our own son and brother and wholeheartedly support his political ambition. We will put aside all our differences, bury the hatchet, turn a new page and give him our unflinching cooperation and support,” one elder assured.

Another elder observed, “Tim Kabba is an asset that cannot be underrated. He has what it takes to lead the country and we are proud of him. This is an opportunity we must make good use of as it comes once in a life time.”

He furthered that once Minister Tim Kabba resolves the animosity and restores peace and unity in the chiefdom, the sky would be the limit for his political ambition and wished him well in all his future endeavors asserting that their wishes have resonated throughout the chiefdom and elsewhere.

According to the public notice issued by LoBDA and signed by the chairman, Fyeston M. Bockary, the meeting is expected to be of utmost importance, “as Minister Kabba, has an important message that will benefit our beloved Lower Bambara community. We urge all members to attend and be part of this historic gathering.

The notice further called on LoBDA members to come together and listen to Minister Kabba’s vision and plans for their community’s progress underscoring that their presence is crucial and that LoBDA is looking forward to seeing all members underscoring, “let’s unite and make a difference for Lower Bambara.”

However, some Lower Bambara chiefdom descendants interviewed by this medium intimated that they are eager to hear the good news from the Minister, especially if it is geared towards the development of the chiefdom lamenting that the chiefdom has been plagued with animosity, infighting, political violence, disunity that have all contributed to its remoteness citing the conduct of the recent Sierra Leone Peoples Party Lower Level Elections that resulted to the political violence, wounding and hospitalization of innocent citizens and court action by aggrieved parties.

The youths especially want a resolution of the political violence that led to the disunity in the chiefdom in the wake of the Lower Level Elections between the two main factions- Mr. Sheku Farma and the current SLPP Chairman, Mohamed Mustapha on the one hand and Paramount Chief Alimamy Farma and the Member of Parliament, Hon. Rugiatu Tarawally Mussafa on the other hand.
