Just when we are on the path of transformation; a moment the country needs sober and serious minded people (politicians) to spin the wheel of transformation, we are witnessing the upsurge of jokers and non-starter when it comes to the issues of leadership and sober mindedness.

Those clowns are busy making hilarious statements on national issues when those statements are needed for the easement of depression. It is in Sierra Leone you will find politicians creating scenarios in serious business or matters, when those scenarios are meant for a perfect comedy setting.

The premise above is evident in the activities and becoming traits in some Sierra Leonean Politicians. Sierra Leoneans have heard of late from the President’s Special Adviser and Ambassador at Large, Alhaji Alpha Kanu describing himself as the “Apprentice” who is fit to take after his Boss the President Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma whom he describes as the “Driver”

A philosopher says “if you cannot stand the heat of the kitchen, step out of the kitchen” Sierra Leoneans have heard Alpha Kanu speaking the truth of there is no word in the English Dictionary known as “Flagbearer” simply because he cannot stand the heat. Sierra Leoneans have heard Kanu saying the All People’s Congress Party does not have anything like “flagbearer” but “symbols and emblems” What a joke? Above all, Sierra Leoneans have heard and seen Kanu skewing the both denotative and connotative meaning of the phrase of “apprentice and driver”. He said his statement has nothing to do with succession or succeeding his Boss President Koroma. What a shock? Perhaps we should give him the Captain Ban for the team of Deceitful Disciples.

Now, to my topic of Apprentice giving money to his Boss the Driver; locally and continentally, the modus-operandi dictates conductor or apprentice is the one charged with the responsibility of collecting transport-fare from passengers for his BOSS, washes the vehicle after the day’s work, look after the vehicle which prompted him to sleep in it almost always and he is almost always clothed in shabby manner with engine oil or fuel covering his entire body with bad smell. Apprentice or conductor almost always takes instructions from his Boss the Driver.

Should we take the aforementioned job descriptions of an apprentice or conductor, then questions around Kanu will be:

If indeed Alpha Kanu uses his personal company for official government trips which could be seen as conflict of interest and it’s tantamount to corruption; did he give the money to his Boss the Driver?

Following the demonstration of pervertism at the Airport where women fought for him; was that an instruction from his Boss the Driver?

The allegation of Kanu collecting money from all telecommunication companies for the death of the President’s Mom; if that was done, was that done with the instruction of his Boss the Driver?
