Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Health and Sanitation yesterday March 15, 2021 announced that the nationwide launch of COVID-19 vaccination will take place in all districts on Monday March 21, 2021.

Each district will operate 2 static sites and 1 mobile team while Western Urban will have 4 static sites.

The country already has 200,000 doses of the SinoPharm vaccine generously donated by the Government and the People of the People’s Republic of China and also 96,000 doses of the first batch of the 528,000 doses committed through the COVAX facility.

The COVAX facility is perhaps one of the best examples of the world coming together in global solidarity to ensure that these life-saving vaccines are available to all countries of the world in a fair and equitable way. See more on page 9 of this edition.
