The 6th Deputy Speaker of the Parliament of Niger, Hon. Oumarou Yahaya has on Wednesday 8th September 2021 officially extended special invitation to the Speaker of the Sierra Leone Parliament, Hon. Dr.  Abass Chernor Bundu to attend their Opening Budgetary Ceremony slated for this Month.

During a courtesy call on the Acting Speaker of Parliament, Hon. Segepoh Solomon Thomas, at his office in Parliament,Tower Hill in Freetown, the Niger Delegation handed over the invitation to the latter for their participation in the upcoming Opening Budgetary Ceremony.

The Acting Speaker, while welcoming the delegation on behalf of the Speaker and entire Parliament said they were gratified to have them.  He urged them to continue to cooperate with Sierra Leone and assured them of exchange visit as well as strong bilateral relationship.

The 6th Deputy Speaker, whilst extending thanks to the Acting Speaker for receiving them said they are in Sierra Leone to invite the Speaker to attend their Budgetary Opening Ceremony. He thanked the people and authorities for the smooth transition of government in 2018 and alsoextend appreciation to President Bio for the Free Quality Education and youths empowerment.

He expressed hope that President Bio initiative on education and youth empowerment would be shared and implemented by other African Countries.

He said they are inviting the Parliament of Sierra Leone, in light of sharing such an experience model as their President is a developmental oriented person like President Bio.
