The charge sheet further disclosed that the accused hired the complainant on the said date to take them to Old Wharf at Wellington, and that on their arrival at Old Wharf; both accused instructed the complainant to return them back to where they had hired him.

Whiles they were returning, the accused allegedly told the complainant, Saidu Sulaiman Dumbuya to drop them at a particular point not too far from Freetown Baibureh road, and one of the accused persons pretended to pay the complainant by pulling out concocted  abject, which exploded in the complainant hand, leaving him unconscious with his eyes temporary impaired.

The court records in respect of the matter before Justice Ernest Gooding indicated that when the complainant regained consciousness, he realized that his motor bike had been carted away by the accused, including a bag containing the sum of one million two hundred and fifty thousand leones,  all to the total valued of six million two hundred and fifty thousand leones.

Before the matter was adjourned to 17 May 2017, the presiding judge stated that he would not pass judgment on the accused for now, but that he would hopefully do so on the next adjourned date, (17 May 2017) after he had thorough perused the evidence adduced against the alleged robbers in the name of justice and fair play.

Justice Ernest Gooding concluded proceedings by ordering that both accused should be re- incarcerated at the Male Correctional Centre on Pademba road in the west end of Freetown.

Both accused persons were represented by Sonia Bobanie Browne of the Legal Aid Board, whiles the state was represented Oladipo Vivian Robin- Mason Jnr.
