The National Revenue Authority (NRA) has showcased major tax administration reforms at the ongoing Sierra Leone Mining Week 2026 held at the Bintumani Conference Centre in Aberdeen, Freetown.
The Authority hosted Vice President Mohamed JuldehJalloh and other key national stakeholders at its exhibition booth as part of activities marking the mining conference.
During the engagement, NRA officials highlighted several reforms aimed at modernising tax administration and strengthening domestic revenue mobilisation across the country.
Among the reforms presented were the Electronic Cash Register (ECR), Product Tracing System (PTS), Integrated Tax Administration System (ITAS), and the Block Management System (BMS).
The Authority also used the platform to sensitise stakeholders on major provisions contained in the Finance Act 2026, with emphasis on improving efficiency, promoting voluntary tax compliance, and enhancing transparency in revenue collection.
Officials stated that the exhibition created an important opportunity for public education and stakeholder engagement, particularly on tax-related issues affecting the extractive industry sector.
The discussions focused on strengthening taxpayer awareness and reinforcing the role of effective revenue administration in supporting national development.
The NRA reaffirmed its commitment to deepening stakeholder engagement and implementing reforms aimed at improving tax compliance and strengthening Sierra Leone’s economic growth agenda.
