The National Revenue Authority (NRA), in collaboration with Blue Ribbon Solutions SL Limited, has conducted training for regional staff of the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Country Planning on the use of the Non-Tax Revenue (NTR) Mobile Payment Application as part of efforts to modernize revenue administration and improve public service delivery.
The training, held on 23rd June 2026 at the Ministry of Lands headquarters at Youyi Building in Freetown, equipped participants with practical knowledge and skills to effectively utilize the digital payment platform. Live demonstrations were also conducted to enhance participants’ understanding of the system and its operational procedures.
To facilitate the implementation of the platform across regional offices, the NRA handed over fourteen tablets to the Deputy Minister of Lands, Housing and Country Planning, Mrs. Phylis Kapu Kormoh.
Speaking at the event, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Abdulrahman M. Fofana, described the initiative as a significant step towards the digitalization of public sector services. He encouraged staff to embrace the new technology and utilize it effectively to improve service delivery and revenue collection processes.
Mr. Fofana also called for continued collaboration between the Ministry and the NRA to ensure the successful implementation of the digital platform nationwide.
Deputy Commissioner-General I of the NRA, Mrs. Ann-Marie Baby Harding, reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting the Ministry through innovative digital solutions designed to enhance efficiency, transparency, accountability, and convenience in revenue collection.
She emphasized that technology-driven systems are essential in strengthening public financial management and improving the delivery of government services.
The Acting Professional Head of Lands, Mr. Tamba S. Dauda, commended the introduction of the NTR Mobile App, noting that it offers significant improvements in revenue verification and accountability compared to previous manual processes.
According to him, the digital platform will help streamline operations, reduce inefficiencies, and promote greater transparency in the collection of non-tax revenues.
The initiative forms part of the NRA’s broader efforts to leverage technology to strengthen revenue administration and support the Government’s digital transformation agenda across public institutions.
