The ten accused persons who were believed to be private body guards of one of the Presidential Flag- bearers aspirants of the Sierra Leone People’s Partym, Dr. Foady Kolleh Yumkella were charged with the offence of conspiracy to defraud, conspiracy to commit felony, conspiracy to wit Impersonation and the use of unauthorized public telecommunication network contrary to Section 70 [c] of the National Telecommunications Act 2006 of the laws of Sierra Leone.
The accused persons were represented by lawyer, M. Musa, Yasmi Jusu-Sherrif and Sulaiman Banja Tejan-Sie. The matter was adjourned to 4th October 2015.
It could be recalled that, the accused persons were arrested on 22th August 2015 at the Freetown International Airport in the Kaffu Bullum Chiefdom in the Port Loko District among hundreds of SLPP party supporters who had converged to welcome the home coming of the Party controversial flagbearer aspirant, Dr. Foday Kolleh Yumkella.
