The Vice President II of the Old Prince WaleansAssociation (OPWA), Alhaji Dauda Musa Bangura, has made a donation of NLe10,000 to support student development initiatives at the Prince of Wales School.

The donation was shared equally between the school’s Scout unit—specifically the 6th Freetown Troop—and the Class of 2006, with each receiving NLe5,000.

Speaking during the presentation, Alhaji Bangura described the gesture as part of his commitment to giving back to his alma mater and empowering younger generations of Prince Waleans.

“This support is meant to strengthen both the scouting body and the Class of 2006. I believe in investing in young people and encouraging them to strive for excellence,” he said.

Members of the Scout unit welcomed the donation, noting that it would significantly boost their camping activities and overall programme. They described the intervention as timely and impactful, while calling on other alumni to support the school’s extracurricular initiatives.

Similarly, representatives of the Class of 2006 expressed appreciation for the gesture, stating that it would serve as motivation to remain focused on their academic and personal development.

The donation has been widely commended within the Prince of Wales community as a demonstration of alumni commitment to youth empowerment, unity, and the continued growth of both academic and extracurricular activities at the institution.
