Speaking to AYV newspaper, over the weekend, the residents say Santigie is a philanthropist with a passion to empower young people, women and children beyond regional, tribal or political boundaries.

They said the Santigie Idrissa Kargbo Foundation has contribute immensely to the transformation of the chiefdom over the years, adding that it is one of the few organizations that are aware of the importance of education, empowerment and advancement of individuals and groups as a ticket for sustainable development.

The Foundation according to many does not espouse the philosophy of giving one fish but concentrates on the philosophy of providing one with the requisite instruments and teachings that will make one fish for oneself.

It is against this backdrop that the Foundation has awarded scholarships, including bags filled with full school materials and envelope as start up finances to deserving pupils who came first and second in the 2019 National Primary School Examination (NPSE) in the entire Maconteh chiefdom.

The fine gentleman has further pledged scholarship support to deserving Junior and Senior Secondary, Technical and Vocational and University students that will come out with good examination results that will make the chiefdom proud.

The CEO of the Foundation who also doubles as Manager of Cargotrans Clearing & Forwarding Agency has assured the people of the chiefdom that his organization will continue to create a safer space and environment for development in the chiefdom and its environs.
