Thirty-five-year-old Alpha Bash Osman Kamara a police officer, appeared before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of the Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown for alleged murder.

The accused was arraigned in court on one count charge of murder contrary to Section 1 of the Offense Against the Person Act 1861 as repealed and replaced by Section (1)(a) to the schedule of the Abolition of Death Penalty Act 6 of 2022.

It was alleged that the accused person, on Monday, 1st January 2023, at New London, Kossoh Town in Freetown, murdered Issa Kanu.

In the last adjourned date the police prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police, I.S Mansaray, sought for a short adjourned date for him to bring his witness to court.

The defense lawyer asked for a short adjourned date for him to be familiar with the case file.
