His Excellency President Dr. Julius Maada Bio is expected back home to Sierra Leone this Sunday 24th September, 2023 after a successful 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in Washington DC, USA.

At the 78th UNGA, President Bio as Chairman of a Committee of 10 in the Africa Union in his address put Africa particularly Sierra Leone on the Global map as he delivers his keynote addresses on “Protecting Education from Attack, Building a prosperous and secure future through Human Capital Development.”

President Bio, amidst criticism back home from detractors met with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), Alice Albright and fruitful discussions were held on strengthening partnership and share commitment towards promoting sustainable economic growth and development in Sierra Leone.

The President also held a fruitful discussions with the Prosecutor of ICC Karim Khan about Sierra Leone leadership at the ICC and her tenure as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.

Meanwhile, back home there are preparations to give President Bio a very colorful welcome demonstrating commendation and appreciation for put putting Sierra Leone on the Global Map and working towards sustainable development.
