Prof. Duramany-Lakkoh appointed Deputy Vice Chancellorof IPAM

The University of Sierra Leone (USL) has appointed renowned Educationist and Associate Professor, Ezekiel Kalvin Duramany-Lakkoh, as the Deputy Vice Chancellor of the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM).

Prof. Duramany-Lakkoh previously served as the Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance at the University of Sierra Leone. His appointment was attributed to the University Act of 2021.

Prof. Duramany-Lakkoh is a former Managing Director of the AYV Media Empire and currently serves on the AYV Board. He is a senior professional accountant and financial economist with more than fifteen years of experience in corporate finance, business development and venture capital management. He is an American Fulbright Scholar and a member of the African Economic Research Consortium.

He has spearheaded the establishment of several large companies in Sierra Leone and across West Africa. He sits as dean of the Faculty of Management Sciences at the University of Sierra Leone. He holds numerous degrees, including a Ph.D. in finance and accounting.

– Holds a Ph.D. in Finance and Accounting from Syracuse University

– Also earned an MPhil / advanced degree in a related discipline

– Studied at Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone in the fields of finance and accounting, internal control, banking sector performance, public debt, and financial policy implementation

Professional Attributes:

– Recognised as a financial management consultant   

– Has over 18 years of experience in corporate finance, advisory, academia, and public policy (per his Facebook profile)

– Plays a role in both academic leadership (as Dean) and policy/management spheres (via IRPM)
