Youth activist – Chernor Bah

A youth activist in Sierra Leone, Chernor Bah has urged for the country to reduce eligibility age for Presidency in Sierra Leone from 40 to 21 years.

According to him, Sierra Leone’s current life expectancy at birth is around 55 years and the country has one of the youngest and most vibrant populations in Africa with over 60% of our population below the age of 35. “How do we justify keeping old people in power and structurally shut the door on young leaders with archaic, colonial age requirements of our highest office” Bah questioned.
