The Sierra Leone Reporters’ Union (SLRU) has honoured Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation (SLBC) Presenter and Executive Producer, SalmataBah, alongside Presenter and Editor, Ibrahim Samura, for their outstanding support and contributions to the union and the country’s media landscape.
The recognition of the duo was geared towards their professionalism, dedication, and commitment to promoting credible journalism across the country.
Presenting the awards SLRU Public Relations office Jonathan Turner said that Salmata Bah and Ibrahim Samura have consistently played key roles in strengthening the union’s activities while upholding high standards in broadcasting through their work at the Sierra Leone Broadcasting Corporation.
In their response, the awardees expressed gratitude to the union for the honour, reaffirming their commitment to advancing ethical journalism and supporting initiatives that promote press freedom and media development in the country.
The award underscores the union’s continued efforts to recognize excellence and inspire media professionals to contribute meaningfully to national development.
