According to Dumbuya the school is celebrating its 50th Anniversary which is their Golden Jubilee, citing that they launched the anniversary on 21st September this year.

Government Rokel Secondary School according to Dumbuya has produced lots of people that are serving as ambassadors in all walks of life since their founding 50 years ago, stating that there are lots of past pupils in the engineering, media, law among other fields that are doing well.

Mr. Dumbuya disclosed that the school is facing a series of challenges, noting that inadequate classrooms is the major challenge for the school because they want the school to be on single shift to complement the free education flagship program of President Bio.
