RSLAF who had clinched the runners up title will face Wikki Tourist, a Nigerian football club based in Bauchi and currently securing 15th position at Nigeria Premier League after promoting from the second –tier Nigeria National league in 2014.

 

RSLAF head coach, Alimamy Bangura confirmed to AYV that his team would be participating in the forthcoming CAF competition, although they are facing financial constrains with limited logistics to run the club, he noted.

 

 He affirmed that RSLAF will be celebrating their annual Armed forces day which involves lots of finance ‘’ our participation is sure and there is some amount of truth with regards the rumour that was spreading around that we are not going to participate’’ Bangura recounted that his players are in right shape of mind and physically fit to face their opponent on Sunday 12th February, 2017 at the Siaka Steven Stadium.

 

President of Sierra Leone Football Association [SLFA], Isha Johansen encouraged RSLAF players to focus on their forthcoming match and forget about the administrative problem, owing to the fact that they are not representing their club alone but also the nation’’ I will give my support little be it or much I will do my best to see that u have your needs before the game’’ Isha promised.

 

However, football fan that witnessed the training sessions of RSLAF, confirmed that they have been following RSLAF religiously and their performance seems to be promising.

 

Sierra Leoneans are encouraged to come out strong in support of RSLAF and the nation’s football come Sunday.
