During the tournament, the Sierra Leone male side had a comfortable 6 – 0 victory against Guinea in the final group match but the defeat yielded no dividend as they finished in third position which prevented the male team from qualifying to the quarter final stage.

This resulted in the Sierra Leone male team leveling on 12 points with Oman. But Oman went through on goals difference – 12 goals and 27 goals respectively.

The Sierra Leone female side unfortunately lost 1- 0 on 19th November in their quarter final match against Nepal.

According to Sigismond Nicol, media person for the Roll Ball Association, one of their players Mariatu Koroma was sent off before the Nepal female team took the lead from the penalty spot. He further said the girls did all they could to get the match on level terms but the Nepal female team defense was too strong to dismantle. The Sierra Leone delegation is expected back home soon.
