Lamin Joe Sesay is the Acting National Coordinator of the Fan Club and in his statement he said they chose to do the official launch in Makeni because of the exceptional contributions the people of the district have made and continue to make for the APC. He said the fan club is of unique attribute – as it is an inclusive political forum that comprises sympathizers of all former flagbearers of the APC.
Lamin Sesay explained that the objective of the fan club is to work assiduously with other APC elections groups and ensure that there is no run off during the 2018 elections.
The interim coordinator went on to say as far as the 2018 general polls are concerned there are only two political parties for the race: “APC and the rest.”
Jamil Sasso was the Chairman of the launch. He spoke boastfully about the developments and transformational legacies of the APC-led government of Dr. Ernest Bai Koroma. He said membership of the fan club will be galvanized nationwide, while calling on all and sundry to go out and spread the political ideology of the party, especially to those with myopic views of the tenets and values of the APC.
The chairman further spoke on the candidacy of Dr. Samura Kamara stating that his human character is incontestable and untainted across the board; and that President Koroma did no mistake in appointing both the flagbearer and his running mate at the Makeni conference.
Paramount Chief Kasangha II of Bombali Sebora chiefdom earlier on underscored the recent visit of Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK) and John Bonor Sisay (JBS) in the district, which according to him demonstrated solidarity and comradeship within the party.
He assured his never-ending support to the fan club and the party at all times.
