This year’s safety campaign month was celebrated at Shandong Steel Iron Group headquarters in Pepel on the Theme: don’t hurt others, don’t make others hurt you, don’t get hurt by your workmate and elimination of danger which may result in hurt.

Addressing the works of the safety month, Scott Lousich Chief Operation Officer of Shandong Steel Iron Group-Sierra Leone, said Safety in a work environment is important because it helps to protect employees and can keep the costs that an employer has.  It is also important to keep employers safe and to send them home in the same condition in which they came to work.

Pointed out that a workplace that has complex safety events and quality is beneficial to the employer and employees in general, and that is why it is highly desirable, that over two thousand local workers and one hundred and eighty expertise from Shandong steel iron group Sierra Leone celebrated it safety campaign month with the aim of keeping the workers safe.

Other speakers were Michael Peterson action general manager port and rail services Pepel and Mark Bushell head of safety Pepel, they however assured the works of Shandong steel iron group Sierra Leone will continue to provide better safety.

 

It is however believed that this safety month will continue to create awareness on safety for workers and their bosses at Shandong steel iron group Sierra Leone.
