A Sierra Leonean inspired story was told at this year’s African Fashion Week in London held over the weekend by a top Sierra Leonean Fashion Brand, Mumini Fashion Empire, who dressed the event with his “Wan Pot” collection.

The Africa Fashion Week London is one of the largest global shows that showcases African Fashion and Design.

The event is a catwalk exhibition and educational platform that promotes and nurtures African inspired designs.

Occupying the spotlight at the event, Mumini graced the stage with his theatrical cultural appearance with the country’s flag, after an exclusive showcase of his designs.

The designer named the collection “Wan Pot” as according to him, he wants to give new meaning to couture and to give it relevance in the age of technology.

He said he sees couture as the laboratory of the bigger picture of fashions and his aim is to showcase that couture is not about yesterday.

Other top African fashion brands displayed their brands’ designs at the event.

Mumini represented Sierra Leone at the African Fashion Week in a Unique style. His pieces were magnificent and inspiring.
