The gesture according to representatives of SLDRT-UK-I, Brima Tala Koroma and Willfannette Whitfield is aimed to restore hope to the victims and is also in line with SLDRT-UK-I’s motto: “Unity to Serve”.

They said they decided to visit the camp and boost the victims so that they will use the money shared to them to meet some of their daily expenses.

They said the donation is also aimed to complement government’s effort in providing for the victims.

Some of the recipients of the gesture expressed thanks and appreciation to the donors for thinking of them to benefit from the donation.

The event brought together cross section of the Sierra Leone Disaster Relief Team UK-I team and beneficiaries among other community stakeholders.
