As mandated by Tripartite Committee to engage political parties on the 80 Recommendations, both the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) and All People’s Congress (APC) Party leadership in Tonkolili district were fully committed to promoting peace, national cohesion and political stability.
Despite wrangling in certain districts in the North, Tonkolili district political leaders were able to see the need for a more political resolution and collective participation for the betterment of Sierra Leone. Speaking on behalf of SLPP, the District Party Leader, Ahmed Saybom Kanu expressed how the government of Julius Maada Bio is always willing to effectively work with opposition parties to promote good governance.
