The indictments indicated that the four accused conspired with other unknown persons to rob and murder the late retired Lieutenant General at his Umels Drive, Devil Hole residence, in the Waterloo judicial district, in the Republic of Sierra Leone.

All accused were charged with the offences of conspiracy to commit felony to with robbery, with aggravation, murder and robbery with Aggravation, contrary to the larceny act of 1916, as repealed and replaced by Section (2) of the Act N0.16 of 1971. According to the particulars of the offence, the alleged murders were armed with a shot gun and physically attacked the late retired Lieutenant General at his Umels Drive Devil Hole residence between the dates of 1 December 2016 and 22 December 2016, and robbed him of his properties such as two iphones valued at four million leones, one black Sierratel mobile phone valued at two hundred thousand leones.

The accused were also alleged to have robbed the late retired Lieutenant General of one Samsung  galaxy edge valued at eleven million leones, and twenty five thousand leones, one silver Mac book apple lap top computer valued at five million , eight hundred eighty thousand leones, one silver colored portfolio, valued at two million leones,

Among the items allegedly stolen by the murders were, one small blue-black travelling bag valued at five hundred thousand leones, one gold colored bracelet valued at seven million, three hundred and fifty thousand leones, one gold colored necklace valued at five million, eight hundred and eighty thousand leones, all to the total value of fifty six million, three hundred and fifty five thousand leones.

Although no evidence was led, but that the state was represented by a battery of lawyers from Law Officers Departments, namely the Director of Public Prosecution, Sulaiman Bah, A J M Bockarie, Juan Bull, A Koroma and A. Jalloh, but unfortunately the accused were not legal represented.

All accused persons were charged on five counts, and the matter was adjourned to 2 March 2017, in which the state prosecution was expected to bring forward witnesses for their testimonies in respect of the matter before the court.

Magistrate Dr. Abubakar Binneh Kamara ordered for the accused to be remanded at the Male Correctional Centre, on Pademba road in the west end of the country’s capital Freetown.
