“The part of the agreement with Bangura enables a termination at the end of June will rather take effect immediately.”

“Bangura has had an injury the full period he was with GAIS and talks with the player and his agent were amicable and understandable about the contract termination.”

GAIS Sporting Director Fredrik Molin said: “We hope Teteh sorts out his injury troubles and we wish him luck in the future,” He added: “He’s a great guy with a passion for football. And if he is injury-free he can deliver any day of the week.

At this time, we need to think about Gais.”

The former Kallon FC forward only started two games in the Superettan this season.

Bangura was an unused sub in Leone Stars’ 1-0 home win over Sudan in the 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifiers last Saturday.

The former Sierra Leone Premier top goal scorer had a good 2011 season in Sweden scoring 15 goals in 17 appearances for former Swedish champions AIK Stockholm before he was sold to Turkisk club Bursaspor.

The Turkish top flight league club loaned him out twice and later terminated his contract.
