Tiler in court over alleged theft of iron rods

A tiler and labourer, Mustapha Kpaka, has appeared before Magistrate Julian Mary Gbloh charged with larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act of 1916.

According to court documents, the alleged offence took place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at No. 9 Old Railway Line, Tengbeh Town in the Western Area. The accused is alleged to have stolen one ton of five-eighth iron rods and other assorted items valued at Le93,000.

The items are reported to be the property of Abundant Life Faith Ministry International Church.

When the charge was read and explained in court, Kpaka pleaded not guilty.

During proceedings, Prosecutor Sergeant 5598 presented and served the accused with witness statements related to the matter.

Magistrate Gbloh refused bail and ordered that the accused be remanded at the Male Correctional Facility pending further hearing.

The matter has been adjourned to March 6, 2026 for continuation.
