Cape Coast, Ghana- Sierra Leone’s Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Memunatu Pratt together with senior staff of the ministry and its agencies embarked on a conducted tour and a canopy walk of the Kakum National Park and explore the Cape Coast Castle in Cape Coast, Ghana.

Having wrapped up the Inter-Tourism and Trade Expo where the Minister thrilled the rest of Africa and the World about Sierra Leone’s potentials and its readiness for business, the Minister and her team through the Ghana Tourism Authority were taken on a conducted tour of their historical sites and monumental edifices.

In her short remarks, Dr. Pratt noted that the tour was geared towards knowing and getting a first-hand experience on how Ghana is managing its heritage sites in order to replicate same in Sierra Leone.

She noticed that the sites in Ghana are far away from the city as it is in Sierra Leone, but people in Ghana go the extra mile to still visit the sites in their numbers, hence she called on Sierra Leoneans to be visiting their heritage sites across the country.  She said there have been a lot of exchanges between Sierra Leone and Ghana in curtailing the fundamental tourism issues.
