He further said that the product will make the lives of their customers more comfortable, adding that they had also launched several other services to ensure financial inclusion and to take banking to the doorsteps of every Sierra Leonean.

In his presentation, the Product Manager at UBA David Musa said the POS terminal is a portable device that facilitates payment or withdrawal of cash for goods and services at merchant locations using payment cards issued by all banks in the network.

He maintained that the POS terminals play a key role in the actualization of the cashless banking objectives, as they have become a more popular means of receiving and making payments and for transacting business.

We have the service running at all major restaurants, hotels, bars, clubs and other entertainment centers and places across the country,” Mr. Musa said, adding that they plan on making the service nationwide.
