Out gone Secretary-General Kashor Holland Cole, submitted that the assembly is not only for elective congress but also a channel for everlasting peace and tranquility in the game, he furthered stated that the country’s football is in transition period.  The game has been put on hold for a period of four years, as a result of this Sierra Leoneans are currently starving from the game they love and cherish. He encouraged the delegates to see themselves as family and embraced peace, as peace is the only option for the development of the nation’s football.

Secretary–General of the Sierra Leone football Association [SLFA] Christopher Kamara,  said that the delegates have responsibility to fulfill and as a representative from SLFA they are going to work with the newly executives, he further expressed appreciation to the mini leagues organizers who filled the gap when the SLFA failed to do their responsibility. He promised that SLFA will conduct nationwide league in the near future. He further cautioned club owners to treat their clubs and players with dignity and respect.

Chairperson of the SLFA Stakeholders Idrissa Mago Tarawally, said he has been yearning for since he succeeded the late Unisa Alim Sesay (Awoko). He affirmed that they have already reached the edge with the help of the Ministry of Sports.’’ As a football family we should have been ashamed of ourselves because of the poor status of football, we should be participating in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations if only we did our home work properly’’ he landed.

Minister of Sports Ahmed Khoun, in his keynote addressed expressed his dissatisfaction about the country’s  poor state of football, he furthered that, sports is not administer the way it should be and the country is losing in diverse way.  He stated that sports is a industry of its own, and that the football family claimed to have passion for the game but their passion is native one, he pointed out that if the family followed sports without ego it will help the game to develop.

Noting that in sports nobody is wrong or right so let everyone stop the enmity,   and work for the good of the game.’’ Let us follow the due process and go according to the constitution so that things will go normal as it was’’ Ahmed landed

Pastor Philip Buck, the elected vice president gratified and appreciated to the Ministry of Sports   and the SLFA for their support.  He encouraged everyone to work together as a formidable team by saying that “no one is a looser or a winner but the only winner is football which is the channel that brings people together as family”. He furthered extended olive branch and asked everyone to come onboard and facelift football in Sierra Leone.
