In 2022, Osman Bangura a young man that grow up around brima lane in the east end of Freetown. In that same year, Osman and Abdul Raman have being friends for years, Osman learnt that Abdul Rahim is a gay but he was so indebted to him and they became secret lovers. Osman introduced him to a very small and secret gay community in Freetown.
In July this year, Osman was seen kissing Abdul at Lumbley beach one of the most renowned relaxation area in the Wes end of Freetown. Since they were secret lovers they return home thought nobody else was around so they got naughty and started kissing. They were very intense in their romance when Abdul’s step brother who is an Islamic clergy entered the room and saw them having sex. He started shouting which called a lot of people including family members and neighbors. They came and saw Osman and Abdul naked and they started beating them with sticks and throwing stones at them. Osman was miraculously able to escape but Abdul was not as lucky.
The rumor of Osman being a gay was everywhere and it reached his father who was in a meeting in a mosque. He fell from the chair he was sitting and became unconscious. He was rushed to the hospital while Abdul was still going through mob beating, but the police was able to arrest Abdul. Osman’s father died on the same day
Osman’s step brothers, other extended family members and the fanatic Muslims in his community have declared him wanted for the death of his father and for bringing disgrace of being a gay to them. Osman went in hiding among the secret gay members he had met through Abdul. They decided to contribute for him to leave the country. By the end of July this year he left Sierra Leone without telling the people he love.
