According to the Translator Huang, the event marks the beginning of WAOMC’s strides in recognizing their hardworking staffs that management believed have effectively progressed in their daily operational activities since the commencement of tolling operations in Sierra Leone last August 2017. He disclosed that the ceremony is an important part of the company’s territorial management, adding that from these appraisals and evaluations done by management the company will be able to select quality staff who in future will manned senior management positions. He described the ceremony as a “positive influence” to diligent, effective and efficient staff in the company. He said this will continue as a tradition in the company furthering that, it will not only breed excellence on the part of the employees but also in the company’s operations.

Huang revealed that the company has greater plans for the improvement and capacitating of local staff adding that though the company operates business but it has a culture of family extended to its staff. Despite the racial differences the company treats every sierra Leonean staff as a family member he went on. 

The Director of tolling, Kan Yadong congratulated the awardees and encouraged them to keep up the good work to continue to benefit from such honor and encouraged other staffs that were not fortunate to compete in 2017 to work harder for their qualification for excellent staff 2018

One of the awardees tollbooth collector Hassan Turay commended the management of WAOMC for acknowledging the relentless effort staff made during 2017 in supporting the tolling operations in the country since its inception.  He said the company has given opportunities to many young sierra Leonean graduates and still has open doors for more to come in. he expressed delight in the work he does for the company and the recognition made  by management. He pledged his commitment and full service to the company.

Team Monitor Alhaji Osman Kamara hopes that such award ceremony continues. He commended the company for working with what he described as determination and sincerity in their services. He applauded the company for giving such a great benefit to thousands of Sierra Leoneans in the past six months.  He described the company’s as so patient, wise and acknowledged the support of all and sundry for their support to the company‘s quest of bringing good road networks in sierra Leone. Monitor Kamara however said that the company is planting  what he described as seeds in the lives of young graduates and others in technical  sectors by making the company accessible to all, sharing, inspiring, reaching out, giving a shoulder and showing the way to attaining peerless enlightenment and always benefitting others. The award ceremony was climaxed with certification of awardees and distribution of monies as bonuses.
