In a bold operation led by the esteemed Local Unit Commander of Waterloo Police Division, CSP Ibrahim M. Sama, on Friday, September 1, 2023, law enforcement authorities descended upon the infamous Peppeh Wharf in Tombo.

Their mission: to eradicate over 50 illicit gathering spots where scores of young men and women engaged in the peddling and abuse of illegal drugs.

The resolute efforts of the Waterloo Police did not go unnoticed. In a remarkable show of solidarity, members of the community, both young and old, rallied alongside the police, assisting in the demolition of these dens of iniquity. Their actions were accompanied by resounding accolades for the exemplary leadership demonstrated by CSP Ibrahim M. Sama.

The Criminal Investigations Department within the Waterloo Police Division has launched a comprehensive inquiry into the deliberate destruction of a vital EDSA transformer situated at Devil Hole in Waterloo.

This incident was reported by a concerned local resident.

Preliminary investigations suggest that the targeted EDSA transformer, initially set up at Devil Hole Junction near the Freetown-Waterloo highway in 2022, was designed to provide continuous electricity supply to the Devil Hole community and its environs.

Authorities are earnestly reaching out to the public for any relevant details related to the malicious damage incurred by the EDSA transformer. Those with pertinent information are kindly urged to establish contact with the Waterloo Police.
