The frustrated citizens made the pressing request while waiting in long queues to access vehicles to carry them to the city as early as 5:00 am at 555 Lorry Park in a bid to comply with the new executive orders from President Bio to report for work on time.

Speaking to this medium in an exclusive interview with waterloo Residents who are waiting patiently in queue said, they have been undergoing tedious challenges with regards to transportation due to the construction of the wellington – Masiaka highway.

A business woman, Madam Fatmata Jalloh said the past government has never considered them seriously in the area of Social welfare as citizens of the country adding that the district is in dire need of Government Buses at the moment for the fact that the rains are on the way coming and the population still continue to increase rapidly because of the expansion of the main road.

Madam Jalloh noted that, thousands of them including civil servants, private & public workers, students, business people among others are still struggling for Transportation at the main parking ground because of sufficient Government Buses.

The Vigilant business woman went further to Congratulate President Bio on behalf of other passengers for his resilient, disciplined and tireless effort in a bid to transform Sierra Leone from abject poverty which she said is currently affecting the country in diverse ways but she said, with the discipline leadership of President Bio, Sierra Leone will develop to another level with the theme:’’ PAOPA Salone for Betten’’.

She noted that, since the establishments of the park, past governments have been neglecting residents of waterloo especially on the allocation of Government Buses by the Ministry of Transport and Aviation (MTA) under the mandate of the Sierra Leone Road Transport Corporation (SLRTC) and pray that the SLPP Lead Government will not forget to address the alarming unavailability of Government Buses at this part of the country.

She added that, the Drivers union task forces are only there to be seeing not to be had because they are busy selling tickets to commercial drivers without advocating for Government Buses to address the escalating transport calamity.

She however admonished fellow women together with their male counterparts to engage concern authorities within the district to salvage the ugly incident adding that politics is now over and everybody must participate and contribute to national development. She commended the past government on the area of Infrastructure especially on the main roads of the country but condemn them on the lapses of several sectors like, education, transportation, agriculture and employment opportunities for young people across the country.

She appeal to the new government of President Bio to resolved the situation with immediate effect as many peace loving Sierra Leoneans continue to suffer under the hands of wicked commercial drivers and apprentices and that half-way driving has been the order of the day  without any proper arrangement.
