Freetown Mayor Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr has expressed appreciation to the International Moral Guarantors for what she described as an “intensive and constructive 8-day mission” on the Agreement for National Unity between the All People’s Congress (APC) and the Government of Sierra Leone.
She said attention now shifts to ensuring the timely, inclusive, and effective implementation of the Tripartite Recommendations.
As a member of the APC Negotiation Team, she highlighted the positive outcomes of extensive discussions, formally presented in a communiqué delivered by Fatoumata Jallow-Tambajang on behalf of key partners, including ECOWAS, UNOWAS, and the Commonwealth Secretariat.
She also thanked Vice President Mohammed JuldehJalloh and the Government delegation, as well as members of the APC team led by Kaifala Marah, for their professionalism and leadership throughout the negotiations.
