Furthermore, WFP alongside the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry circulated the results of the Sierra Leone food security monitoring system (FSMS) report (September 2018;
Report No.1) which shows an overall improvement of food security in the country with the proportion of several food insecure households decreasing from 8.6 percent in 2015 to 2.4 percent in 2018.

WFP continues to analyze data collected from the national in-country market assessment exercise, initiated in December 2018. The report is expected to be finalized in March 2019 with all information supporting senior management in the design of a targeted CBT programme.

WFP also launched the Japanese Bilateral Project (JBP) baseline exercise in the districts of Tonkolili, Kenema and Pujehun, training a total of 15 enumerators for data collection in post-harvest interventions.

A technical consultation meeting was held on the Zero Hunger Strategic Review with key line ministries to initiate the validation process involved in the review.
